K.E. Safiya Autism Centre

K.E. Safiya Autism Centre is a research based Multi Specialty Resource Centre comprising of a Special Needs School, Vocational Education & Rehabilitation Centre with striving mission. To guide the special children through those initial shaky steps into individuals who can hold their head high despite their disability.

KESAC located at the beautiful hill name Kidaran Kunnu, New Mahe under auspices of the Dubai Mahe Muslim Welfare AssociationDMMWA), which is registered as a society under the societies Act.

KESAC is the answer for the questions and concerns aroused followed by our outreach and extension programs. KESAC founded on research and current best practice, facilitated by well equipped child centre friendly and least restrictive environment and dedicated faculties.

The rationale of setting up the KESAC is the results, experiences, the current situations and observations gained through our outreach and extension programs such as regular community visits, surveys, screening camps, various workshops and other social programs. It is observed that many of the children with special needs are constrained to settle along with their parents outside the state due to the lack of such facilities. Another fact is that both parents and children with special needs are required to move centre to centre due to the lack of different specialized faculties and other allied facilities under one roof. One of the most striking observations is that we have come across with many of the persons with special needs are unemployed even after their formal schooling.

KES Autism Center is a ISO certified institute. We are also certified by National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions as Minority Educational covered under section 2(g) of the national commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act 2014

Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy is concerned with the management of disorders of speech, language, and communication and swallowing in children and adults. Speech and language therapy treats problems in the areas of articulation, dysfluency, oral-motor, speech, voice, receptive and expressive language disorders. Children enrolled in therapy early in their development (younger than 3 years) tend to have better outcomes than those who begin therapy later. This does not mean that older kids can’t make progress in therapy: they may progress at a slower rate because they often have learned patterns that need to be changed.
